Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA)

MEDA is a nonprofit organization for economic development professionals. Its members focus on local planning, workforce, transportation, international trade, tourism and finance.

MCEDC is a proud partner of this organization that promotes Maryland to out-of-state businesses and encourages companies to locate and grow in the state.

Member companies receive support through the council’s advocacy, education, workforce development, cost savings programs and networking efforts.

Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC)

Pre-venture, startup and existing women-owned businesses seeking to scale their businesses can access specialized seminars and workshops, one-on-one and group business counseling and other resources.

Montgomery Can Code

MCEDC partners with Montgomery College and Montgomery County Public Schools to create Montgomery Can Code. This program prepares students for future careers in technology through free coding summer camps for all MCPS middle schoolers and clubs during the school year.

Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus is home to the ignITe Hub, a facility that provides physical and virtual space for students, lifelong learners, faculty, business owners and community members to grow their technology and coding skills. MCEDC is one of the partners on this project.
